Apply to be a Production Assistant
Love gear, love being part of a crew, and don’t mind hard work? You help ATG’s DJs, MCs and tech teams load in, set up, run and strike every event.
What the role is
Production assistants (PAs) are the backbone of an ATG crew, and one of the roles ATG staffs most. You help load the truck, set up sound, lighting, staging and video, stay on hand during the event, and pack everything out at the end. It’s the best way to learn how a full production comes together.
What an event looks like
- You meet the crew and help load in.
- You help set up sound, lighting, staging, pipe and drape, and video.
- You run and tape down cables and keep the work area safe and tidy.
- During the event, you’re on hand for whatever the DJ, MC or tech lead needs.
- At the end, you help strike everything and pack the truck the ATG way.
What you’ll learn
- How sound, lighting, video and staging gear is set up and run
- How an ATG crew loads in and strikes an event safely and quickly
- How a full production goes from the warehouse to the stage
- Skills that carry straight into lighting, audio and video tech work
Who thrives here
- A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Comfortable lifting and moving gear
- Great at following directions and working as a team
- Early to every event (right on time is late in this business)
- Calm and helpful when things move fast
What you’ll need
- Saturday availability (most events are on Saturdays)
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift and carry equipment
Your training path
ATG provides the training and the equipment, plus a great group of people to learn from. The right person doesn’t need experience.
