Apply to be a DJ & MC

You’re the person in charge of the event: on the mic, guiding every formality, and playing the songs everyone already knows and loves. Part-time, mostly Saturdays.

What the role is

This isn’t a club gig where you only spin. You’re the host. You lead the grand entrance, the toasts, the hora or the candle lighting, the last dance, and everything in between. Every week brings a new client with a new vision, and you help create memories they’ll keep forever.

What this is not: a bar or club job where you never touch the mic, a place to break brand-new songs nobody has heard yet, or a full-time job. It’s part-time, mainly on Saturdays.

What an event looks like

  • You arrive early, load in, and set up the sound and lighting.
  • You meet the client and the planner and walk through the timeline.
  • You run the room on the mic: entrances, toasts, traditions, games and the big moments.
  • You read the floor and keep it packed with songs everyone knows.
  • You wrap the event, pack up, and leave the room the way you found it.

What you’ll learn

  • Reading a room and keeping every age group dancing
  • MC skills for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, proms, galas and corporate events
  • Setting up and running ATG’s sound and lighting
  • Working with venues, planners and families

Who thrives here

  • A great speaking voice that can take control of a room
  • Love for music with mass appeal
  • An outgoing, life-of-the-party personality
  • Leadership, and calm when things get stressful
  • Great customer service, and a knack for connecting with guests of all ages
  • Not afraid of a new or tricky situation

What you’ll need

  • Saturday availability (most events are on Saturdays)
  • A vehicle that can carry equipment
  • Able to set up audio and lighting at events

Your training path

ATG provides the training and the equipment, plus a great group of people to learn from. The right person doesn’t need experience.

  1. Apply. It only takes a few minutes.
  2. Meet the team. A conversation about you, your strengths and your schedule.
  3. Learn the ATG way. Training on the gear, the systems and how ATG runs an event.
  4. Shadow real events. Work alongside experienced crew before you’re on your own.
  5. Take the lead. When you’re ready, you run your part of the event.
